02/07/17: Totteridge

A brief walk in Totteridge, where the sky was blue and it was unexpectedly hot. I’m hoping that longer walks will resume when the weather cools down a bit.

Checked up on the conker tree we planted by the river. It was doing OK, but looked like it would probably appreciate some more water.

Saw a nice chair left on the street under a tree and was very tempted to take it, but it would have been difficult to get home. That said, if I’d got tired I would at least been able to have a sit down. (1)

Two lost-cat signs: Fido and Del Boy have gone AWOL. (2, 3) Both signs recommend checking sheds and garages. Maybe they ran off together?

After wandering past the public exercise machines, we headed back along the shaded tree line by the Northern Line. There were a couple of nearly naked sunbathers – men in pants, basically. In previous summers I’ve seen people here who didn’t even bother with the pants.
